Do You Ever Leave Your Comfort Zone?

When will you leave your comfort zoneTell the truth – Do You Ever Leave Your Comfort Zone?

We are all creatures of habit. This is a given. If you keep on doing the same old thing will you ever get anywhere else? It is not to say there is anything wrong with certain habits or routines.

“If you want something in your life you’ve never had, you’ll have to do something you’ve never done.” – JD Houston

In another life, at least it seems that way to me, when my career was in the Oil Trading and Refining Business, a Senior Executive would order the same exact lunch everyday when he was in the Corporate Office. More or less it was “Yes Stacey, I’ll have tuna salad on rye toast with lettuce, easy on the mayo and two half sour pickles.” Every single day, the same exact lunch order.

Maybe this is not too impressive to you. What if the fact was added to the story that this person was in charge of some of the fastest growth in the oil industry of mergers and acquisitions and his net worth is well in excess of nine figures and that was in another life time!

The point of this story is when will you test your comfort zone and go for the idea or the dream or whatever it is you wish you would do, but don’t do, because…

We ask ourselves:

  • Well how would I do that?
  • I barely have the time now to watch TV, when would I do it?
  • People all tell me if my idea was so good, someone would have done it already.

The reality is we are scared. We are afraid.

People will say:

  • I told you so!
  • How could you be so stupid to spend all that time and money on that!
  • Another failure! You couldn’t be happy where you were and be comfortable?

Please don’t take this as me asking you to leave your job or to leave your spouse.

It is about facing the reality that to get to another place we must move. When this place is about empowerment to have the opportunity to fulfill a dream, a need, a want and desire we must leave our comfort zone behind. It all starts with how we think. Most importantly how we think about our selves.

Should this topic interest you and you think even for a second you would like to hear more specifically how to move out of your comfort zone (sign up here) to be invited to learn more about The Empowerment Mentoring Program on a no-cost call coming soon.

Your Ticket To Wealth

ticket-to-wealthYour ticket to wealth we are told, through a good amount of marketing, is to purchase a lottery ticket.

“You have to be in it to win it!”
“The Jackpot is now up to a Gazillion Dollars!”
“You Gotta Play, to Win Today!”

Okay well let’s not get bogged down into a discussion about gambling, or stealing, which is what many might say about the lottery business.

What if instead of the need to go to a store or click online and take out money or a credit card to buy a lottery ticket there was something else which is completely not being paid attention to?

What if your ticket to Wealth started with opportunity? The opportunity to bring meaning, really true and heartfelt meaning into your life? How much time each day is spent on adding value to society or individual people? Do you personally have an impact on one single person each day?

These are heavy questions to consider. Take a moment rather than click away and consider these questions for a single moment. Feel free to add your answers in the comments section or @mitchtublin on twitter.

Imagine if each person alive made a commitment to impact one person, a single unique person each day for one year. Every single day, one new person would obtain some type of assistance, guidance, advice or a listening ear. Do the math. Do you think there would be an impact. A non-political and non agenda driven impact.

In my small part this is my agenda every single day: “How many people will I be able to add value to today?”

You are able to schedule a free fifteen minute call with me where there will not be one aspect of me selling to you. Come to the call with an agenda about your business, your career, a problem you would like to discuss in these areas and let’s have a conversation.
